Battle of the Prophets! Pastor Tunde Bakare Dares Church GOs

Image
•Calls them pentecostal rascals, money launderers One falsehood spoils a thousand truths. Ask Pastor Tunde Bakare. The founder and General Overseer (GO) of the Latter Rain Assembly understands that if he fails to bellow the truth when he knows the truth, he undoubtedly makes himself the accomplice of liars and forgers. This perhaps explains his recent outburst and criticism of fellow Pentecostal pastors. Bakare recently lampooned church leaders who were against the governance code issued by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria calling them ‘money launderers’ who were trying to cover up their ‘iniquities.’ He revealed that pastors opposing the act were desperately trying to prevent the public from knowing about the crimes of money-laundering they had indulged in by virtue of their positions. He however described some pastors as “Pentecostal, charismatic rascals” who do whatever they want even if the law says otherwise. He made the assertion soon after Pastor Enoch Adeboye

Kcee begged me to salvage his dying career – Harrysong

Image
When talented songwriter and singer, Harrysong announced some months ago that he was leaving his former record label, Five Star Music to set up his own company, Altar Plate, discerning observers knew that it was a move that would be accompanied by drama for a long time to come. Even though the two major parties involved, Kcee and Harrysong, made it seem like there was no hard feelings between them, the gloves have finally come off. On Friday, Nigerians were treated to the news that Harrysong had been whisked away to a police station on the order of Five Star Music. Shortly after he was released, Five Star Music claimed in a statement that Harrysong had begged Kcee profusely to be signed to his label some years ago. The statement also painted a picture of an ungrateful Harrysong who was fond of abandoning contracts halfway like he allegedly did with his first record label, QuestionMark Entertainment. However, in a swift reaction to Five Star’s statement, Harrysong claimed t

"It will bar green card holders," Gillian Christensen, acting Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman, said to Reuters. A senior White House official later sought to clarify the situation, saying green card holders who had left the United States and wanted to return would have to visit a U.S. embassy or consulate to undergo additional screening. "You will be allowed to re-enter the United States pending a routine rescreening," the official said

PHOTO: Mosque in Texas, the United States, set on fire early yesterday

(VICTORIA, Texas) — An early-morning fire Saturday destroyed a Texas mosque that was a target of hatred several years ago and experienced a burglary just a week ago. A clerk at a convenience store spotted smoke and flames billowing from the Islamic Center of Victoria at around 2 a.m. and called the fire department. "It's sad to stand there and watch it collapse down, and the fire was so huge," Shahid Hashmi, the Islamic center's president, said. "It looks completely destroyed." Victoria Fire Marshal Tom Legler asked for help from the Texas Fire Marshal's Office and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to determine what caused the blaze.
