According to a statement by Guy Mettan, Executive Director, the Geneva Press Club, Jonathan will address two most crucial topics in Nigeria and West Africa at the press briefing.   A seven-month pregnant woman, Mrs. Oyinyechi Chinaka has been reportedly stabbed many times by her neighbor leading to the lost of her pregnancy in Mushin area of Lagos. Mrs Chinaka was rushed to   the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, where it was confirmed she has lost her pregnancy. There are indications that the Federal Government may consider the recall of sacked Universities staff school workers as a solution to end the two- week old strike embarked upon by the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU). It would be recalled that SSANU had embarked on a strike action since December 24, 2015 alleging that about 2,000 universities staff school workers were affected by a circular from the government to vice chancellors of universities to remove the names of the workers from the government pay roll. SSANU had argued that the union in 2009 entered into agreement with the Federal Government on the subject matter, adding that removing the names of the workers of the universities staff schools was going contrary to the agreement. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, Tuesday, signed a bill into law converting the Lagos State University, LASU, Ojo, to a residential institution, as well as approving 70 years retirement age for professors of the institution.   The law, LASU (Amendment) Bill 2015, also approved a five-year single term for the Vice Chancellor of the institution. "The groomsmen failed to reach for her right on time and she slammed her head on the ground as she fell" A couple’s wedding day ended in the worst way possible after the bride was left unconscious as a result of a prank pulled that went bad. The bride has just gotten out of her car at the wedding venue when the groomsmen made a reach for her, throwing her into the air in celebration. Unfortunately, the groomsmen failed to reach for her right on time and she slammed her head on the ground as she fell. The fall left the bride unconscious, Mirror UK reports.
