Six people were stabbed at the annual Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade on Thursday by an ultra-Orthodox man who perpetrated a similar stabbing at the 2005 march. Yishai Schlissel, of Modi’in Illit, was released from prison several weeks ago after serving 10 years in prison for his last attack, which wounded three people.

The Imo state police command have arrested and paraded a notorious kidnapper identified as Henry Chibueze aka “Vampire”. Vampire was arrested after a failed attempt by him and his gang members to kidnap judges of the Imo state tribunal who were lodged at Disney Hotels, along Onitsha Owerri Road recently. According to reports, security operatives in the state who acted on a tip off, swooped on the gang members as they attempted to kidnap the judges. Vampire and his members fled the hotel with gunshot wounds. He was later arrested at his elder brother’s house where he had gone to treat himself. When interrogated, Vampire confessed that he operates in many parts of Nigeria, Cotonou (Republic of Benin) and Abijan (Ivory coast), where his family lives. Members of the Hassan family in Ijanikin, Lagos, are yet to come to terms with the gruesome murder of their four-year-old son, Ibrahim, on Monday morning. Since they got the shocking news, pain, sorrow and wailing have been their companions. The innocent boy was allegedly killed and later butchered by a 16-year-old boy, Tajudeen Azeez, popularly known as Ojo, a apprentice furniture maker, behind Anglican Primary School, Deeper Life Bus Stop, Ijanikin, Lagos State. Luck ran against the suspect when he was allegedly spotted by neighbors who immediately raised the alarm before he could get away with the crime. Ibrahim was the first child of his parents. The 16-year-old suspect heartlessly removed the deceased’s penis, kidney and intestines. The unsuspecting boy was lured into the location of the crime, and his corpse was later buried in the bush.
