ITS TIME TO CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE AND BE MORE FOCUSED ON WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE.

The girl on the left herding sheep in Morocco. The woman on the right is the same girl 20 years later, as France's minister of education. "Never stop dreaming, and never stop working hard for your dreams. You never know what you can become. Life is unpredictable. You will never know as to which road can leads you to which destination." While it is true that humans are born with certain unchangeable orientations or tendencies, our attitude is what determines how best we fare in life. You may not have the money but your attitude sells you freely to the masses. You may not be highly educated but your attitude opens doors for you. You may be the most talented person in the room but the slightest hint of a negative attitude can cost you million-dollar opportunities. In entrepreneurship, a positive attitude is the most valuable asset you can ever have. The ability to see through tough times and the ability to believe in better times ahead is what often draws the

MUST READ: Coke's Cookie Is Crumbling By Dr. Mercola [Sponsored ]

Sugary beverages, soda chief among them, have been blamed for rising rates of obesity and related chronic diseases in developed countries, and there's evidence to support such claims. Leading beverage companies like Coca-Cola, however, want the public to believe they're not part of the problem but rather are innocent scapegoats. To get this message across and save their quickly deflating public image, Coca-Cola gave money — a lot of money — to Gregory Hand, Ph.D., the former dean of the West Virginia School of Public Health, to start a nonprofit group called the Global Energy Balance Network. In early August 2016, the school announced Hand had been demoted and was forced out as dean because of his seemingly unscrupulous involvements with Coca-Cola, although he will still be working at the school in another role. The purpose of the now-defunct Global Energy Balance Network, for instance, was to promote the message that lack of exercise, and not sugary beverages, is re

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has won the first appeal delivered by the Court of Appeal in Abuja with respect to the judgments of the Federal High Court in Abuja June 27 removing him from office. Ikpeazu’s appeal was with respect to the ruling delivered by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja on July 8 in which the judge insisted that he had jurisdiction to hear a motion for stay of execution of his earlier judgments delivered on June 27 even after the appeals against the judgments had been entered. The Justice Helen Ogunwumiju-led five-man bench unanimously agreed in their judgment that Justice Abang erroneously assumed jurisdiction to hear the motion and adjourned it till a later date. Justice Philomina Ekpe, who read the lead judgment, held that what Justice Abang ought to have done in line with time-honoured doctrine of “stari decisis” was to have transferred the motion to the Court of Appeal for determination. She also held that the Justice Abang

Why I Am Convinced God Does Not Speak To Pastor Adeboye By Dr. Ijabla Raymond

Image
Last week was quite interesting on Nigeria's social media space. It started with a video of Pastor Adeboye telling his followers not to marry a woman that can neither cook nor pray for one straight hour . The question that has been on my mind is: does that mean God is deaf? What parent makes their child beg (for one hour) for something they know the child needs? The truth is that prayers, besides making the believer to feel good about themselves, are an absolute waste of time. They do not grow the economy or an amputated limb. Youth unemployment is at an all time high despite our regular night vigils, prayers and supplications - it is evident that a God who is interested in human welfare does not exist. If He did, malaria and cancers will not kill millions of children whilst He preoccupies Himself with consensual sex between homosexual couples. In our country, pastors are marriage counsellors, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and financial advisers all at once even though they

Abi? Oga pastor, that one na missyarn.” In an apparent response to all h

Video footage of how air force ‘wasted’ Arepo militants [VIDEO]

The Nigerian air force has released the footage of what it says is a recent raid on the base of militants in the Arepo area of Ogun state. The video showed two aircraft hovering over a militant camp, which had at least 15 armed men. About five boats were seen beside some makeshift tents in the camp. In a manner as though they were preparing for battle, one of the militants mounted a gunboat, while others joined him later. The air force jets initially seen were apparently on a surveillance mission, as three fighter jets were later deployed to the location. The footage indicated that the jets released missiles into the creeks, but images of the attack strikes themselves were not shown. Jerry cans and boats used for siphoning crude oil were seen in the video, dated August 1. Prior to the operation, which was code-named ‘Operation Awatse’, the militants wreaked havoc on different coastal communities in Lagos and Ogun states. US police officer arrested for ‘supporting ISIS’ [MUST READ]

Image
Nicholas Young, a Washington DC Metro Transit police officer, who has served with the department since 2003, was on Wednesday arrested by FBI agents. He was charged with trying to provide material support to ISIS – the first time a law enforcement officer has been charged with an ISIS-related crime. Authorities allege in a criminal complaint unsealed Wednesday that Young attempted to send money to ISIS through a mobile-based gift card using an unnamed messaging service the terror group utilizes for recruiting purposes. The transaction, which was redeemed by the FBI for $245, was made in July 2016. Despite Wednesday’s arrest, the department of justice said there was never any threat to the public or a plot by Young to target the public transit system he was hired to protect. Court documents paint the story of an individual with ties to suspicious individuals and with terrorist aspirations abroad. The criminal complaint connects Young to two convicted Washington, DC-area te

Mikel Obi officially changes his name?

Image
In attempting to clarify his actual name, the Chelsea veteran has just made everyone very, very confused. Jon Obi Mikel has been called many things by Chelsea fans during his decade at Stamford Bridge… many of which are far too rude, reports UK Mirror. However, while he may have got used to the abusive slurs hurled his way by a section of the Stamford Bridge support, it seems the Nigerian midfielder has finally had enough of people getting his actual name wrong. That is why the Chelsea stalwart has just officially changed his name… to Mikel John Obi. For starters, it turns out that he was never actually called ‘Mikel’. The Guus Hiddink favourite was born John Michael Nchekwube Obinna – ‘Mikel’ only became a thing when the Nigerian FA mistakenly used Mikel instead of Michael on his submission form for the 2003 FIFA Under-17 World Championships. So much so, that despite the fact it’s not actually his name, he’s been happy to be called John Obi Mikel ever since he joined Chelsea i

Personal Debt Drove FCMB Staff To Commit Suicide: [INVESTIGATION]

Image
From our investigations, First City Monument Bank was not responsible for the death of one of its staff who committed suicide last week Thursday, our source can authoritatively report. Olisa Nwakoby, a commercial banker with Nigeria’s First City Group, took his own life before his pastor on Thursday, leaving his family, friends and colleagues writhing in grief. The news of Mr. Nwakoby spread quickly, prompting rumours that he may have died as a result of undue pressure being mounted on him by his employer. Nigerian social media and blogosphere had been awash with news purporting to have uncovered how Mr. Nwakoby allegedly shot himself over a N350 million in delinquent loan he approved on behalf of the bank. The reports alleged that FCMB started putting pressure on Mr. Nwakoby to find a way of recovering the loans or face legal consequences. “With pressure mounting on all sides and apprehension over sullying his family name, the banker and father of a 10-year-old daughter sh
