Prophet rapes brother’s wife in Anambra [ incase-you-missed]

Detectives from Anambra State Police Criminal Investigation Department, Awka are currently investigating the alleged rape of a housewife by a white garment prophet who happens to be the elder brother to the victim’s husband on a farmland in Umuchu town, Aguata Local Government of the State. The Criminal Investigative arm of the State Police Command embarked on the investigation after receiving a petition from a group known as Human Rights Awareness Initiative and Road Safety on behalf of the victim. According to the victim, Mrs Chinasa Okoronkwo, the Prophet identified as Pius Okoronkwo raped the victim while working on her farmland after she escaped several sexual harassment from the suspect. Okoronkwo, who is the founder of Covenant Sabbath Mission Yaweh church with headquarters in Umuchu, however debunked the allegation saying that it was an attempt to blackmail him after sponsoring the marriage between her and his younger brother. Ministerial screening: I have never taken bribe in my life – Amaechi

After being drilled for over fifty minutes by the Senate today Wednesday, former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi has been asked to take a bow. Declaring at the screening of his nomination as a Minister, he said, “I have never taken bribe in my life,” Amaechi disclosed that “Corruption is a very broad concept. It is difficult for me to define corruption.” Amaechi, who brought a copy of the white paper containing the report of the Panel of Inquiry instituted by the Rivers State government, declared that there is nowhere in the report where he was indicted. The founder and leader of Apata Adu­ra Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ekute, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, former Pastor Adekunle Afolabi has converted to Islam. Afolabi accepted the teachings of Prophet Muhammadu (SAW) after practicing Christianity for over 25 years where he even rose to become the General Overseer of his church. Explaining the reason behind his conversion, the 45-year-old man now addressed as Alfa Abubakar Afolabi, said he had a divine encounter with a stranger in his dreams. He said the man showed him certain flaws in Christianity and convinced him that indeed Islam is the only religion that leads to heaven. Nigerian Churches, Others Causing Increased Witchcraft Persecution In UK – Group

The significant rise in cases of witchcraft allegations and persecution in the UK has been attributed to the activities of African – especially Nigerian – churches in the country. Gary Foxcroft, Executive Director of the Witchcraft and Human Rights Information Network, said in a statement Monday that the churches are growing at a phenomenal rate across the UK. “Most of them are branches of large mega churches from Africa,” said Mr. Foxcroft. “Some of these churches are known to promote the idea that children can be witches. Indeed the head of one of the biggest churches in Africa was captured on YouTube slapping a young woman and calling her a witch. “There is currently no regulation in place to stop such people from entering the UK and establishing churches. Tajudeen Disu Killed In Land Fracas In Lagos

The Managing Director of the Lekki Free Zone Ltd, Mr. Tajudeen Disu is among persons killed as Ibeju-Lekki villagers and mobile police officers clashed in Okunraiye community near Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, this morning. Tajuden Disu The villagers said they were on a peaceful protest against "forceful takeover" of their land by the Lagos state government on behalf of Africa’s richest industrialist, Aliko Dangote and the Lekki Free Zone Ltd when policemen attacked them reportedly killing two of the protesters instantly.
