Liberian Minister Sebastian Muah Omar, who approved late Patrick Sawyer's trip to Nigeria has angrily reacted after he was criticized for letting Sawyer, a staff of the Liberian government, leave Liberia for Nigeria despite Liberian health officials placing him on Ebola danger list. Sebastian Muah Omar told a Facebook user who asked him why he made such a decision that he does not owe him any explanation. He also said he wasn't late Sawyer's doctor to stop him from traveling. The Deputy Chairman, Yoruba Unity Forum, Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu, has asked the people of the South-West to defend themselves with anything at their disposal to stop the incessant attacks by the Fulani herdsmen in the region. Ladigbolu said this in an interview with journalists on Tuesday in Ile-Ife, Osun State, after his condolence visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, at the monarch’s palace over the communal clash between Yoruba and Hausa in the town, PUNCH reports. While berating the silence of the Federal Government on the atrocities being committed by Fulani herdsmen, Ladigbolu argued that governors in the South-West were not doing enough to defend their people or to stop the herdsmen daily attacks. Ladigbolu said, “I am not sure the South-West g...
Chris Okotie, general overseer of the Household of God Church, says God has asked him to tell the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to adopt him as consensus candidate in 2019. Okotie said this at his church on Sunday, while declaring interest to contest the 2019 presidential election. He said the time had come for truth and transparency in government, adding that Nigeria cannot succeed as a nation if it does not live by the truth. “Nigeria has become a divided and segregated society like never before,” he said. “The dream of a great Nigeria which flowered at independence, the yearnings and aspirations of the people and the Nigerian brotherhood whose ensign dominated the political horizon at independence have all been consigned to oblivion. “Times like this require the recruitment of patriotic gladiators who must now take up the gauntlet to defend the Nigerian dream. www.swiphtconsult.com.ng “I have re-emerged from my political...
