‘I killed my wife because she was sleeping around’ - Suspect
A bricklayer, Akinyemi Edgar Koja , who had been on the run after allegedly strangling his wife , Ajoke, to death in their apartment in Agemowo area of Badagry, last December, has been arrested by the Police in Lagos. Vanguard learned that he was picked in an undisclosed area around Lagos Island , where he took refuge since the incident occurred. However, during interrogation, the suspect stated that he carried out the act out of jealously , following what he described as his late wife’s adulterous acts. Recall that after allegedly killing his 28-year-old wife who was a graduate, he dumped her corpse inside a well within his area , before taking to his heels. It was gathered that there had been a lingering quarrel between the couple until the unexpected occurred. In a move to arrest the fleeing husband, the Lagos State Police Command declared him wanted .
