A Chinese man who lived with a tumour so big he looked heavily pregnant for a decade has finally had the two-stone growth removed from his stomach. The 33-year-old said he let the mass increase for 10 years as he believed it could be treated with traditional remedies.Eventually it had grown so huge it  made him appear as though he was expecting a child,Chengdu Business Daily reports. He originally went to the doctors in 2004 when his stomach felt uncomfortable – and a lump was found in 2006. After it swelled to the size of a beach ball doctors said the mass was pressing on his internal organs and his bowels – which could potentially be fatal. Despite going to various hospitals across China, other medics told him an operation to remove it would be risky, so he was repeatedly sent home. Eventually, the family raised the money to have the tumour cut out at the Military General Hospital in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province.

Passengers subdue man from blowing up plane

Heroic Malaysia Airlines passengers tackled a man who tried to storm the cockpit of a plane armed with a “detonator”. Dramatic pictures captured on board flight MH128 show how the man was tied down when he was restrained shortly after the plane took off from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur. The flight returned to Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport less than an hour into the flight before midnight local time (3 p.m. UK time). Witnesses said the man said “I’m going to blow up this plane” as he tried to enter the cockpit before he was taken down by passengers. Saiqa Chaudhery, who claimed her husband Arif was on the plane, alleged the passenger was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and that he attacked a flight attendant. While a woman named Vanessa whose boyfriend Andrew was on the flight told Australian radio station 3AW he was the first to confront him after he intimated cabin crew.
