A man in Thailand has become an internet sensation after a video of him buying and destroying over 15 Iphones including the store. Trouble started for the Iphone dealers when the man stepped into the store to buy an Iphone 7. The man whom didn't look genuinely interested in buying the device was asking a couple of questions about the phone when the attendant lost it and asked if he could afford the phone? This deeply angered the man who then smashed the phone on the table, paid and left the store. He returned the next day, this time he bought all the I-phones in the store and destroyed all of them. In what appeared to be a clampdown on criminals operating in Oshodi, prelude to the festive seasons, the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested six teenage mobile phone thieves in Oshodi. The suspects who were brought in batches to the RRS’s Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja were all apprehended the same day in Oshodi while brazenly dispossessing commuters of their belongings. The suspects; Ganiyu Rahman Sadiq Adebayo (15); Timilehin Oluwaseun (14); Ogundare Moyinoluwa (18); Toheeb Tijani (19) and Adeleke Sodiq (17) were arrested on Friday morning in Oshodi Oke. Justice Agomoh of Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has also convicted and sentenced a big girl in oil business, Onaioye Kiipoye, to ten years imprisonment without an option of fine. Her crime? For dealing in petroleum products without requisite license. Onaioye was first arraigned on 10 February, 2011 on a two-count amended charge bordering on dealing in petroleum products without license. The Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos, has arrested three workers of Peakins Pharmaceutical in Lagos, for allegedly stealing drugs estimated at N56m. The suspects are Emmanuel Okechukwu, Ikechukwu Orji and Chisom Azubuke. Two others, who were estate security guards, Uchechukwu Ofoepeka and Goddy Ogobi, were named as accomplices. All five guys are now in police custody. It all started when the owner of the company, Isaac Ugwu, caught one of the workers, Okechukwu, with a carton of a drug valued at N400,000. The suspect, according to Punch report, was allegedly taking it away from the company’s warehouse on Plot C, Mobolaji Johnson Estate, Lekki, Lagos, when he was caught. Ugwu was said to have reported the matter at the zone 2 command through a petition to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Abdulmajid Ali. 37-year-old Rasak Adekoya, who allegedly beat his 10-year-old son, Wariz, to death, has said he beat his son on Tuesday, October 11, because he stole mobile phones at a party. Mr. Adekoya, who said he never intended to kill his son, explained that the boy brought him shame by stealing the mobile phones at a party, as well as money belonging to his stepmother. Adekoya, who was arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command, is currently being detained at the homicide department at the state police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta. Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, had said the suspect was nabbed by policemen attached to the Ago Iwoye Division following a tip-off from members of the community. The commander is considering charging the father to court.

The Nigerian Navy, on Wednesday, paraded five suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate who late last year kidnapped Nancy Dickson, a younger sister to Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa. 26yrs old Nancy, who had since been freed, was kidnapped last December at her shop located along Okaka Road, Yenagoa, by gunmen who trailed her in a Lexus sport utility vehicle. Commander of the Nigerian Navy Ship, Delta, Commodore Joseph Dzunve, paraded all the suspects before newsmen at the Navy Base, Warri. The Navy also announced the arrest of nine crude oil thieves in the creeks of Delta State. Apart from the suspects, six boats laden with stolen crude and used in ferrying fuel to various illegal refineries, where also intercepted in collaboration with the operatives of Operation Delta Safe. Two armed robbers who have been terrorizing the residents of Okeletu area in Ijede Ikorodu, Lagos, were arrested after a failed operation in the area last Thursday. A traditional ruler in Magboro community in Obafemi Owode area of Ogun State, Sanni Shofolarin, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing a resident of the town. Shofolarin, who is the Baale of Shofolarin town in Magboro, shot dead the victim, whose name had yet to be ascertained, during an affray in the area on Monday. Some people had organised a party in the community but a fight later broke out. According to The Punch, the matter was reportedly taken to Shofolarin’s palace for mediation. It was learnt that in the course of settlement, the parties disagreed and fight escalated in front of the palace. A notorious sex worker, Grace Aghomi, who allegedly sold her daughter for N60,000, on Wednesday appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on a two-count charge. 37-year-old Grace sold her child to a woman, simply identified as Endurance on Sept. 30 at Badagry, Lagos, according to the prosecutor, Insp. Daniel Ighodalo. Insp. Ighodalo told the court that Endurance was at large, and that the offences contravened Sections 142 and 274(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011. The accused, Grace Aghomi, pleaded not guilty. The Chief Magistrate, granted bail to the s*x worker in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has arrested a 56-year-old man, Christopher Nnabuihe, for selling faked Peak Milk. The suspect, who lives at 42, Cameroun Road in Calabar, Cross River, confessed to the crime: “You can only suspect it to be counterfeit through the taste because the packaging for the fake and the original is the same,” A NAFDAC statement quoted Nnabuihe as confessing that he procured cheap powdered milk and branded it as Peak Milk, which is more expensive. “I buy the already printed (Peak Milk) 440g packs from Ariaria Relieve Market in Aba, Abia State and bring it to Calabar for refilling. I seal them up with candle light. “One 50 kilogram of the milk will fill 27 pieces and that is two cartons and three pieces. I sell one carton of the fake Peak Milk for N6,000 and make a profit of N1,000 per carton," he said. A 24-year-old man, Gbenga Kalejaiye, has been arrested and charged before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for allegedly stealing from a woman, using charms. Kalejaiye, a resident of Gowon Estate was said to have tied charms on his waists as he approached his victim, one Mrs Mary Musa, after which he hit her and she fell, losing consciousness. The accused stole N125,000 from his victim. The prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, told the court on Tuesday that the accused committed the offences on Oct. 4 at Oremeji Street, Ilupeju, Lagos. He said Kalejaiye, who lives at Gowon Estate, Egbeda, is being tried for breach of the peace, stealing and unlawful possession of charms, adding that the accused and others still at large conspired to attack the victim with charms and stole her N125,000 valuables and cash.
